Teen Sensation Alexandra Amor Drops Debut Video "Superstar" Posted:Thursday - July 15, 2010
Yo! Promotions presents its newest client, teen sensation Alexandra Amor, who just released her brand new video for her first original song entitled Superstar.
Voted “Most Likely To Be Famous” by her high school peers, Alexandra Amor is on an accelerated path to fulfill that destiny. The young, charming, bright-eyed starlet from St. Petersburg, Florida, has been marked for superstardom since early childhood. She discovered her passion for music and entertainment at an early age, performing and winning many local competitions. With a personality as big as her voice, this girl next door possesses the kind of wholesome enthusiasm that has distinguished Hollywood leading ladies for generations.
Alexandra landed her first acting role before entering high school, starring as the lead character in RivieraMiddle School’s presentation of Guys and Dolls. After playing missionary girl Sarah, she moved on to be cast in a local rendition of Smokey Joe’s CafeMusical, singing and acting in an independent film, and earning 2nd place in the Largo, Florida Idol Singing Competition.
In high school, Alexandra continued to lay the foundation to eventually pursue her dreams of displaying her talent on an international stage. In 2008, Alex was a scholarship program beauty pageant finalist, 1st runner up in NortheastHigh School’s beauty pageant, the winner of the People’s Choice Award and third place overall at American Idol’s regional singing competition in Brandon, Florida. Alex used these achievements to further grow her already loyal and passionate online fan base and began her ascent to local celebrity and rising star. She proudly declares Christina Aguilera as her idol and artists like Carrie Underwood and Justin Bieber as some of her favorite entertainers.
Alexandra remained an all-around achiever at NortheastHigh School as she was a member of the National Honor Society, the varsity golf team and the varsity swim team. After graduating in 2008, she wasn’t even through her first year of college when her music dream came knocking in the most unlikely of circumstances.
While singing a self-introduction speech in her Communications class at TallahasseeCommunity College, a fellow classmate was closely observing her performance. After class, he introduced himself as Josh Mendez of Rich Music Ltd. They spoke about her aspirations, and Josh immediately informed the rest of the label about the young star he had stumbled upon. Aside from her striking looks, adorable charm, and infectious voice, Rich Music was even more impressed by the online support she was receiving. Already, fans from around the world were tuning in to her Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and more to see what she would do next.
Within weeks, Alexandra signed to Jimmy J Management/Rich Music Ltd. and recorded her first original piece entitled Superstar, produced by Mike Molina and Aton of The Agency. At first the team envisioned the song as a high-energy, rock-out, sing-a-long, dance in your seat, every-girl’s anthem. But after releasing it online at the end of April 2010, the record shows all signs of being a smash hit that girls and boys alike of all ages can enjoy and relate to.
Alexandra is currently in the studio with The Agency working on her debut album. Her team feels as though they already have several potential follow-up singles on deck. While Alex is working daily to develop and perfect her craft, Rich Music is behind the scenes putting a powerful team in place to propel America’s next superstar onto the national scene.
“I am very excited and anxious to get on the road and on the stage,” says Alexandra. “I can’t wait to meet all the fans that have gotten me this far. They are an inspiration to me every single day.”
