Yo! Promotions proudly presents its newest clients, The Goonies, who just released their brand new song "Life Of A Dreamer".
In February of 2009, Julian "Juice" Ross and Michael Minelli combined their musical and entertainment talents to form The Goonies. The group is sure to become one of music's top prodigies due to their futuristic instrumentals, captivating lyrics, and undeniable chemistry.
The Goonies began doing shows at Fat Baby's in Manhattan in the summer of 2009 and have toured throughout New York and Connecticut, playing venues that include the legendary Toad's Place. Their first mixtape, "On The Edge", was released in December 2009. Since the release and success of their first project, The Goonies have been working on their first official album. They have also worked with NBA Cares by providing music for a UNICEF commercial. Their single, "Life Of A Dreamer, " was featured on Ray Allen’s official website at www.rayallen20.com, and was a finalist at the SPONY Songwriting Competition in Manhattan. This year, The Goonies have been booking shows at many venues in Connecticut, including Zen Bar and Anna Liffey's. Following their performance at Zen Bar, executives from New Music Chronicles, an independent record label, expressed a strong interest in The Goonies and talks about a nationwide tour began.
Julian "Juice" Ross began producing music at the age of twelve with the Fruity Loops production program. Three years later, he was engineering tracks for all of his friends in his hometown of Middletown, CT. Juice poured his passion for music into production and sound engineering, and nine years later spent a summer working at Planet 2 Planet Studios in Manhattan, which was headed by John Grossbard. Juice also worked at Planet of Sound Studios in Hartford and Horizons in New Haven, where he made a name for himself as one of Connecticut's premier engineers. During this time, he was also working as an artist, working on recording, engineering, and producing his own music. Juice has recorded some of Connecticut's top talent at his own studio and has been working with Grammy Award winning producer Tito Ali.
Michael Minelli has always thrived in the limelight. He preformed his first solo in grade school when he sang the Jackson 5's "ABC". Minelli sang in the choir from middle school through college, studied dance, and was heavily influenced by Hip-Hop. In 2006, he competed against 32 countries as a member of the United States Hip-Hop team. Currently, Minelli is a member of the nationally recognized E3 dance crew, which has been highlighted on BET’s 106 & Park and NBC’s Showtime at the Apollo. Minelli is a natural born performer, who is sure to light up any stage.
